Our Origin
As the casualty of a really bad haircut at the start of high school, Chaz has always been critically aware of how important your appearance can be and how traumatic it can be when a desired style or look is not achieved.
After she graduated, Chaz worked for a number of hair salons, gaining experience, both locally, nationally and abroad. In 2012, she took an entrepreneurial leap and founded her own salon, CW International.
In 2020, Chaz grabbed the opportunity to relocate her hair salon around the corner, into Main Road, Newlands, which had been a salon for +45 years in Cape Town. Thereafter, the local barber shop close by also in existence for 45 yrs in Dean Street, Newlands, became available as well & in 2023, she jumped at the chance to add this location and opened our 1st barbershop to the CW International portfolio.
Meet Chaz – Founder of CW International
Being given a really bad haircut while she was in high school sparked Chaz’s life mission: no one should leave a hair salon feeling disappointed or embarrassed by their hair.
Today, with more than 20 years’ experience, Chaz is an award-winning senior stylist, a proud member of Intercoiffure Mondial and one of the few REDKEN International Colour Specialists in South Africa. She has honed her craft – styling at events like Gauteng Fashion Week – and has earned local and international accolades for men’s grooming, women’s styling, and colour artistry.
Chaz is dedicated to giving each customer the best experience by working with them to enhance their natural beauty and to exceed expectations in delivering a style that suits them and their lifestyle. Living her philosophy – “Imagination is easy with knowledge as our foundation”- Chaz ensures every client leaves CW International feeling confident and empowered.

As a Master Barber, he takes pride in training and mentoring juniors in the industry, and he is often asked to judge competition work and review formal college qualifications.
